How to submit the 2026 Baccalaureate appeal

If a candidate decides to dispute the grade received, he must complete and sign a form of appeal, along with a statement confirming that he has taken note of the fact that the final grade can be changed both up and down, following the re-evaluation.

Appeals are submitted according to the following calendar: on July 7, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., applications for viewing the works are submitted, and between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the viewing and submission of appeals is carried out.

On the 8th and 9th of July, between 09:00 and 17:00, the viewing of papers and submission of appeals continues, according to the schedule established by each exam center.

The necessary forms are available at the examination centers and on the websites of the school inspectorates, and candidates can complete them during the period provided in the examination calendar.

What are the risks for students who challenge the grade

Submitting an appeal involves a candidate’s risk, as the final grade may increase or decrease as a result of re-evaluation.

This possibility is mentioned in the declaration that each candidate who files an appeal signs.

The re-evaluation is done by another committee of teachers, and the grade established as a result of this process becomes final and cannot be contested later.

Candidates should be aware that although contesting may improve the grade, there is also a risk that the grade may be changed downwards.

Therefore, it is recommended that, before submitting the appeal, students view their work and carefully analyze the possibilities of re-evaluation.

On July 8 and 9, students can view the Baccalaureate papers. What they have to do

Candidates who wish to see their work before deciding whether to appeal can request to view it.

According to the procedure of the Ministry of Education, each candidate will see his work individually, in the presence of a person appointed by the examination board.

Minor candidates may be accompanied by a parent or legal representative. To request viewing, students must submit a standard application, available at exam centers and on school inspectorate websites.

The use of mobile phones or other audio or video recording devices is not allowed in the viewing room.

Also, the people present cannot provide explanations on how the mark was given, because the visualization is only informative and does not represent a correction of the paper.

Viewing the paper does not oblige the candidate to file an appeal.

When are the final Bac 2026 results published

All appeals submitted by candidates will be resolved between July 9-10, and the final results of the 2026 Baccalaureate exam will be published on July 13.

They will be displayed both on the website of the Ministry of Education and in the exam centers, in anonymized format, using the individual codes that replace the candidates’ first and last names, according to the legal provisions on the protection of personal data.

Candidates who are not satisfied with the grades received after this stage can opt to participate in the second Baccalaureate session, scheduled between July and August 2026.

To pass the exam, graduates must obtain at least a 5 in each written test and an overall average of at least 6, and those who do not meet these conditions are declared “rejected” and can participate in the next session.
