Mangalia, Saturn, Venus, Cap Aurora, Jupiter, Neptun and Olympus today form the Mangalia Riviera destination, which aims to offer families more than just a beach holiday.
Through the “Riviera din Inima Mea” project, the Mangalia Destination Management Organization builds an experience where the time spent together becomes part of the most beautiful vacation memories.
In the 2026 summer season, the resorts of the southern Romanian coast offer a mix of relaxation, entertainment and activities for all generations. In addition to the beach, sea and sun, tourists have at their disposal concerts, shows, theme parks, children’s activities, gastronomic and cultural experiences, but also numerous moments designed to be experienced as a family.
Neptun Arena is the new space dedicated to summer events
One of the highlights of the summer is Neptun Arena, the new space dedicated to summer events. Here, concerts, shows and themed festivals bring together children, parents and grandparents, offering the little ones the thrill of their first live performance, and the adults the opportunity to relive the music of their generation.
“This destination aims to become the main choice for Romanian tourists, and in the coming years also for foreign tourists,” said Dumitru Filip, destination manager within the Mangalia Destination Management Organization.
This summer’s Neptun Arena program brings Daniel Iordăchioae, Pepe, Andrei Bănuță, Florian Rus, Bibi, Vescan, Mihai Trăistariu, Diana Bișinicu, Constantin Enceanu, Azur, Andreea Bănică, Jo, Compact, Marius Mihalache Band, Amna, Andrei Ursu and other guests to the stage.
The offer dedicated to children includes adventure parks, theme attractions, shows and play areas, as well as the new points of interest in Neptune – the Pirate Labyrinth, the Magic Laboratory and the Superpowers of the Human Body. These complement the already established attractions in the resorts, such as Paradis Land, Dino Parc Jurassic, Water Park Galaxy and Baby Land.
Tourists who arrive in Mangalia can take a boat ride from the Tourist Port, visit the Genovese Lighthouse, protected by the community’s well-known kitties, and dine at the restaurants on the seafront.
“Together with the tourism operators and the OMD member patronages, we want to improve the experience of tourists who choose the south of the Romanian coast. This year we are taking a first step with many concerts and festivals, and from this year the three resorts Venus, Jupiter and Cap Aurora are entering a rehabilitation program”, said Paul Foleanu, deputy mayor with mayor attributions of the municipality of Mangalia.
According to the organizers, more than 60,000 tourists have participated in the events organized on the Mangalia Riviera since the beginning of the summer, and in the peak period of the season an even greater number of visitors is expected.
Through the “Riviera din Inima Mea” project, the southern Romanian coast is promoted as a destination where every family can create their own vacation memories – from the first swim in the sea at sunrise to the last evening spent in the atmosphere of a live show.
