Cornelia Patrichi and Sidonia Spătaru were some of the most beautiful ballerinas that Romania had in “Golden Age”. Now, over 70 years on, they have revealed how they managed to defy the passage of time.
Cornelia Patrichi settled in Italy, after the death of her husband, the late choreographer Cornel Patrichi. The former ballerina revealed to Click!, the secret that helps her keep her youth.
“I don’t miss olive oil. But, compared to other friends, I don’t apply it directly to the skin, for cosmetic purposes, but I use it in salads, in cooking. I like, if it’s fresh, to eat it on bread. In addition, I have a menu based on fruits and vegetables, I drink a lot of water, especially in the summer, I walk a lot”she said.
And Sidonia Spătaru has an enviable image. She says that among the habits that help her maintain it are walks in the open air, or in the park and a proper diet.
The former great ballerina tells that she adored her husband, Dan Spătaru, also known as “King of Applause”who passed away on September 8, 2004.
“He loved people, children, flowers enormously, he loved everything that moved by him. He was a man with an extraordinarily big soul, a loving man who helped a lot of people, friends and even people he didn’t know. He made us all happy and was attentive and not only when it was our birthday, mine and Dana’s, our daughter’s, or a day like that that we all know. Wherever he went, he came with attention. He liked flowers, he always came with a huge bouquet of roses”she said.
The two artists met again during an event held at the “Constantin Tănase” Theater in Bucharest, where they reminisced.
“What joy! What enchantment! What memories and stories! And, above all, how much emotion! And I experienced all this, again, together with beautiful people, with those close to the Tănase Theater”they mentioned, on Facebook.
