Denis, a 15-year-old boy of Romanian origin born and raised in Italy, caused many reactions from Romanians after he posted a message on a social network, in which he talks about how difficult it is to live abroad.

Denis posted a video message on TikTok in which he talks about the difficulties he faces in Italy, the country where he was born and raised.
“If I were to return to the country, I would leave tomorrow. Because I'm tired of being among strangers, of being considered a nobody. It's very hard, I tell you. It's very difficult abroad and you mustn't think that abroad it's pink and flowers and dogs with curls in their tails”, said the teenager.
The boy openly criticized Romanian politicians, who, in his opinion, are responsible for the alienation of his parents and other Romanians forced to emigrate in search of a better life.
“God grant that all politicians, all people in political positions, all, but I don't want to name names, because they alienated my parents and everyone who left the country. And it's very ugly, because I, an ethnic Romanian child born in a foreign country, and seeing everything that happens in our country, I want to cry.
Because God will do justice with us, because we will be the power of the country, we who live abroad, we who send money to Romania, we who come to Romania and stay in Romania in summer and winter. Us, because he alienated us. Good people, wake up! Put down the crooks, put down the thieves,” it's Denis's call.
“The Romanian people are my people”
Although he was born and raised in Italy, Denis considers himself Romanian and says with emotion that he wants to return to his native lands. The teenager also spoke about discrimination and bullying in Peninsula schools.
“I've been living here for 15 years, I was born here and it's not what you think. Because you did not come to see what is happening in the schools, what is happening everywhere in this country called Italy and in several countries in this Europe. Why are you talking if you don't know?
In schools there is discrimination, bullying, I'm fed up. I would come to Romania tomorrow and do justice to my people, because my people are the Romanian people, not the Italian people, the French people or the German people. I'm Romanian until death and I'll prove it to you, if you don't believe me”, concludes the boy's plea for Romania.
“Children, I'm taking my children and next week I'm going to Romania”
The messages from our compatriots were not long in coming. Most of the Romanians who commented on his post congratulate him for the courage to call things out.
“Well done, young man! I hope you are able to return and reclaim your country. I hope we will be a dignified and respected people again, as we were before '89!”, wrote a Romanian woman.
“I think you're the first kid I've ever heard talk like that! Be blessed child! Maybe only your generation will manage to make some changes!”, someone else added.
“I have 5 years of Spain and I can't anymore. Well done, young man! True patriot! Other young people do not dream of such true words!”, another Romanian commented.
“Children, I'm taking my children and next week I'm going to Romania. You made me cry thinking about my children.” wrote a compatriot with emotion.
