It is not clear when the two decided to end their relationship, but multiple sources told The Telegraph that they had reportedly split.

We remind you that according to Miami law enforcement officers, Konstantin Koltsov committed suicide by jumping from the balcony. The former ice hockey player, who died on Monday, March 18, was 42 years old.

A new shocking hypothesis in the case of the death of Konstantin Koltsov is offered by his ex-wife, Julija Mikhailova.

Most likely, he was drunk. Unfortunately, hockey players have this problem. Empty bottles of alcohol were found in the room where Konstantin was staying. The room had a balcony with an ocean view. Probably, Konstantin was no longer aware of his actions. His intention was not to kill himself. Sure, anything could have happened to him, but there's no sign of suicide. We still have Konstantin's old computer. I know his passwords and managed to get into his email account. I know he had rented several apartments in different locations. He had also rented a car for a long time. There are no signs of suicide“, said Julija Mikhailova in the Belarusian press, according to the Daily Mail.

The Belarusian hockey player played in 144 games in the North American professional league (NHL), with the Pittsburgh Penguins, from 2003 to 2006. With the Belarusian national team, he was present at two Olympic Games, in Salt Lake City in 2002 and Vancouver in 2010, and at nine editions of the World Championships.

Koltsov was assistant coach at Salavat Yulaev Ufa for the past two seasons. He was also an assistant in the staff of the Belarusian men's national team.

World number two and double Australian Open title winner Sabalenka also decided not to withdraw from the Miami Open. What's more, he trained on Tuesday afternoon on the courts in Miami.
