Over a thousand students are preparing for the jobs of the future

More than 1,000 students are going to the second stage of the Future Jobs Cup, an educational project launched by TikTok and the School of Values ​​in Romania, which wants to give young people the opportunity to acquire the skills needed for the jobs of the future.

9 out of 10 future jobs will require digital skills, European statistics show. In this context, the Future Jobs Cup wants to facilitate the acquisition of essential skills for the jobs of the future in an environment where the labor market is increasingly digitized. Of the 2,400 students enrolled in the educational project launched by Tik Tok and the School of Values, 1,016 are moving on to the second stage.

Young people attach great importance to professional activity and prepare for employment, after finishing their studies, shows the data collected by the School of Values.

In fact, the European Commission proposed that the EU reach a 70% digital literacy rate of adults by 2025.

Dual approach

The project has both an education part – Future Jobs Academy and a competition part – Futire Jobs Cup, and aims to give young people new perspectives related to the labor market of the future and equip them with the necessary experience, skills and knowledge to lead the next wave of technological innovation by creating products and projects relevant to their generation.

Within the Future Jobs Academy, students will access an extensive learning module and have the opportunity to participate in a series of inspirational sessions with the 30 mentors who have joined the project, including Andrei Lasc (Brand Catalyst & Founder POARTA 9), Sabina Mihăilescu (Co-founder of IntreVecini), Ana Vișan (Marketing Manager bestjobs), Ovidiu Mureșanu (Content Creator) or Cristiana Oprea (Rally Driver & Founder of Women in Motorsport), according to the press release.

Moreover, they will be able to participate in the 10 workshops hosted in the main university centers in Romania, in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Timișoara, Brașov and Târgoviște. Future Jobs Cup competition

At the same time, the Future Jobs Cup encourages students to imagine and contribute to a digitized world

Organized in teams of ten members, students will create a project plan that addresses innovative solutions adapted to the dynamic requirements of their chosen fields of interest. The competition is held in ten distinct fields that will define the job market of tomorrow, namely technology, human resources, business, environment, urban services, agriculture, space exploration, health, data and relaxation.

The 50 most promising ideas will advance to the pitch stage, and the top three ranked teams will receive grants of $15,000, $10,000 and $7,000, and will receive mentoring and support to turn their innovative projects into tangible solutions and of impact, say the organizers.
