“On the return from Tirana, I made a stop to Sarajevo, out of respect for the Romanian Army, to visit the military who keep peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with our allies.

I thanked the Romanian military for what they do in the service of our country, away from the house and their families. Everywhere they were, they represented with dignity Romania and carried out their missions with professionalism”, Reports Bolojan.

He also congratulates the Lieutenant-Colonel Vasile Ardeleanu, the commander of the multinational battalion.

“By their behavior, by the protection they provide in the Balkans, our military are a business card in the vicinity of our country, bringing respect and appreciation for Romania.

I was glad to congratulate the commander of the multinational battalion, Lieutenant-Colonel Vasile Ardeleanu, whose birthday was yesterday.

We gain respect when we are represented by professionals, in any field of activity, as are our military and commanders from Bosnia and Herzegovina ”the interim president concludes.

On Friday, May 16, Bolojan was at a summit in Albania, a meeting attended by President Emmanuel Macron, Ukrainian leader Volodimir Zelenski, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Other topics discussed included security, democracy and migration.

But it is also a crucial period for Albania, one of the poorest countries in Europe, with 2.4 million inhabitants, who are still trying to overcome the persistent impact of the decades of suffocating communist regime and to adhere to the European Union.
