The University of Craiova defeated FCU 1948 Craiova with a score of 2-1 (0-1), on Sunday evening, in the Bania derby, held in the 30th stage of the football Superleague, writes Agerpres.

The team coached by Nicolo Napoli, in its first match of the tenth term, opened the scoring through Aurelian Chiţu (45+4), after a ball erroneously rejected by Mihai Căpăţînă.
Both teams had a chance to score in the first half, the guests through Ştefan Baiaram (28), but the goalkeeper Robert Popa rejected his attempt, and the hosts through William Baeten (44), but Laurenţiu Popescu proved himself.
In the second half, Baiaram sent a header from 6 meters (51), but Baeten managed to repel. The Belgian stood out shortly after (55), but he resumed by the goal. Juan Bauza missed from 16 meters (59).
The university equaled in min. 70, when Nicusor Bancu launched Alexandru Mitriţă excellently and he lobbed Robert Popa. “Guests” then they had the clearer opportunities, and Andrei Ivan's shot (76), from about 18 meters, was rejected by Popa. A minute later (66), Baiaram managed to head the ball centered by Alexandru Cîmpanu from the corner.
The team coached by the Bulgarian Ivailo Petev had the chance to score one more time in the end, but Cîmpanu (90+6) missed alone with Popa.
The university was undefeated in seven stages, in which it recorded four wins and three draws.
FCU Craiova managed to reach six stages without victory, one draw and five failures.
In the round, the score between the two was equal, 1-1.
