Another survey, carried out by The Center for International Research and Analyzes (CIRA), showed that Marcel Ciolacu would get 26% of the votes, being the clear leader of the competition. George Simion was in second place, with 16.8%, and Nicolae Ciucă (PNL) is close to him, with 16.3%. Elena Lasconi, the USR candidate, would get 13.8% of the voting intentions, and Călin Georgescu, the independent candidate, would be at 6.8%.

Four polling houses in the 2024 presidential election

Poll operators can interview the Romanians who voted in the buildings where the polling stations were opened, in their yards and in their vicinity up to a distance of 500 meters, without having access inside the spaces where they are organized polling stations.

According to the Central Electoral Bureau, they have the obligation not to disturb the peace and public order and not to intervene in any way in the organization and conduct of the elections.

On Sunday, Romanians are expected at the polls to elect the new president of Romania. Voters will have a choice between 14 candidates registered in the electoral race. The presidential elections began in the diaspora on Friday, December 22.
