Ioana Ciocan, Managing Partner Art Safari: “George Enescu Square, Ciclop Garage, Dacia-România Palace, Kretzulescu Galleries, Oscar Maugsch Palace in University Square, Victoria Tower on Calea Victoriei. All these places where we stopped in recent years, which we opened to the public and which we gave back to the city through art, carry the memory of Art Safari. From a 10-day pop-up art pavilion, we turned into a museum of exhibitions temporary, open all year round. Art Safari has organized “impossible exhibitions” for Romania, proving that the public in our country is a great lover of art.
And because Art Safari has grown, we are moving again, starting in 2026, to Amzei Square in Bucharest, with the support of the City Hall of Sector 1. From March 26, 2026, the city can enjoy in this effervescent area not only the best coffee, pizza and ice cream, but also art.”
George-Cristian Tuță, Mayor of Sector 1 Bucharest: “The move of Art Safari to the new exhibition space in Amzei is only part of the administrative effort of the last year to rebuild the creative, cultural and business communities in Sector 1. It joins the Yellow Creative Hub in the building next door, the revitalization actions of Căia Griviței or Casa Petrescu. Because I know that, in parallel with the efforts to clean and repair the infrastructure of our sector, people also need culture, green spaces and leisure activities in a healthy and educational way. And I am glad that the private partners of our local administration come to meet us with projects that contribute to a more beautiful life for the people of Sector 1″.
