“It will be possible to filter the lists of patients for whom there is compatibility with the available organ”

After entering the information on the availability of a donor/an organ into the National Transplant Registry, an automatic matching operation will be possible between that organ and the active patients on the waiting list.

“The scoring rules regarding the compatibility between the donor and the patient will be able to be defined in the administration module, based on the medical information available in the system for the patient and, respectively, for the donor. It will also be possible to filter the lists of patients for whom there is compatibility with the available organ, depending on other information available in the patient profile (e.g. age, severity, length of time on the waiting list, etc.)”it is also shown in the information.

The approved decision establishes regulations regarding the collection and processing of personal data within the RNT, in compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons in relation to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, as well as the relevant national legislation in the field of data protection.
