June is preferred by tourists who want to spend their holidays in Romania because the travel agencies practice lower rates and is less crowded than in full summer season, according to a study by an online booking platform.

The data show that more and more tourists choose to plan their holidays in June, 37% of the reservations for the summer-September period being scheduled in June, followed by July, with 34.8% and August, with 27.8%.
The month of June dominates the accessible holiday segment, being preferred by tourists with budgets up to 2,000 lei, according to the Travelminit analysis. In particular, the week of June 15-21 was one of the most popular, registering about 10% of the reservations. During this period, Romanians have better rates, special offers and a lower degree of employment.
In contrast, the most expensive holidays in the season were reserved in July and August, the average price exceeding 5,000 lei. Also, the peak of the season was reached between July 20-August-2, when about 18% of all reservations this summer were registered.
The most reserved destinations in this summer season include both the seaside and mountain resorts. The top is led by Mamaia and Mamaia-Sat, followed by Eforie Nord, Brasov, Sibiu and Sovata.
The Danube Delta – the highest accommodation rates
As for prices, they vary depending on the region chosen, but also the period. In June, the average price per night for a double room in Mamaia is 449 lei, 474 lei in Sinaia and 456 lei in Brasov. In July and August, the rates begin to grow slightly, so Mamaia reaches 591 lei in August, Sinaia is maintained at 482 lei, and Brasov varies between 444 and 465 lei. Among the most expensive destinations are the Danube Delta, with an average of 560 lei per night in June, reaching up to 599 lei in July.
On the Prahova Valley, the average price per night, for a double room in the summer season is 488 lei. In Maramureş, the stays are slightly more accessible, the average tariff being about 478 lei per night, and in Bucovina the prices reach 460 lei.
This year, many Romanians opted for short holidays, of 2-3 nights. Specifically, 28.6% of reservations are for two nights, and 23.3% for three nights. Only 3.1% of tourists chose classic 7 -night stays, which reflects Romanians’ desire for shorter and more frequent holidays, to the detriment of long holidays.
As for accommodation preferences, data shows that 36.8% of tourists prefer hotels, then 29.8% opt for pensions, and 13.9% of them choose apartments in hotel. Most of the time, tourists choose their accommodation units according to the budget, location or facilities offered.
“The coast for all” takes place on June 1-22
The “coast for all” is carried out between June 1-22, 2025, with rates starting from 44 lei/night/person, recently informed FPTR.
The rates start from 44 lei/night/person for lunchless accommodation, from 84 lei/night/person for breakfast and from 161 lei/night/person for all inclusive, in the first part of the program (June 1-6), according to the real offers in the reservation system. For the period 7-22 June, the tariffs start from 46 lei/night/person for accommodation without meal, 86 lei/night/person for half board and 220 lei/night/person for all inclusive.
These rates are practiced by accommodation units classified with 2 and 3 stars, especially from the Eforie Nord resort, which remains the most accessible destination in the program, offering the lowest rates for both simple and half inclusive accommodation.
An analysis of the minimum tariffs in each resort shows that:
In Eforie Nord, the prices start from 44 lei/night/person (without meal), 84 lei (half board) and 161 lei (all inclusive) from June 1-6;
In Costinești, the rates start from 62 lei for mass accommodation and 118 lei for half board;
In Eforie Sud, rates from 58 lei can be found for mass accommodation and 103 lei for half board;
In Jupiter, the accommodation without a meal starts from 70 lei, and the packages with half board from 123 lei and the all inclusive ones from 179 lei;
In Mamaia, the minimum rates are 76 lei (without meal) and 136 lei (half board).
For the period 7–22 June, the minimum prices are slightly up, but they remain attractive for sea stays:
Eforie Nord: from 46 lei (without meal), 86 lei (half board), 220 lei (all inclusive);
Costinești: from 62 lei (half board), 118 lei (all inclusive);
Eforie Sud: from 58 lei (half board), 103 lei (all inclusive);
Jupiter: from 114 lei (half board), 131 lei (all inclusive);
Mamaia: from 215 lei (half board), 327 lei (all inclusive).
Stations such as Venus, Saturn, Mangalia, Mamaia Nord, Neptun-Olimp complete the palette of destinations registered in the program, offering tourists varied options according to preferences and budget.
