The Humanitas publishing house invites you on Thursday, February 29, at 8 p.m., at the Humanitas Bookstore in Cișmigiu (Bld. Regina Elisabeta no. 38), to a meeting with Mihaela Noroc – the author of the bestseller Atlas of beauty: Women of the world in 500 portraits – and Andreea Esca about Girls' World: Portraits and Stories from Around the Earth, a new book-album, a unique collection of portraits and stories from around the world. The dialogue will be moderated by the translator of the book, Andreea Niță.
In the March 8 edition of “Weekend Adevărul” you can read an exclusive interview with Mihaela Noroc about her passion for photography and her travels that led to the creation of the two albums appreciated all over the world.

I realized that all young women in the world – regardless of their culture or life context – can move mountains; they just need a little support and encouragement,” says Mihaela Noroc.
MIHAELA NOROC, author of the bestseller Atlas of Beauty: Women of the World in 500 Portraits, has traveled to over 100 countries over the past ten years photographing women from all walks of life. The initiative of the young Romanian woman became famous throughout the world and turned into a successful book published in several languages. His project is a global phenomenon present in the most prestigious publications of the world as well as in spectacular exhibitions. Oprah Winfrey, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, Time, Forbes, elleRAI, SKY News are just some of the big names that have featured extensively Atlas of beautyturning it into the most publicized artistic project created by a Romanian nowadays. After becoming a mother in 2018, Mihaela felt motivated to inspire her daughter and started a new project, in parallel with Atlas of beauty. Thus a new book was born, Girls' World: Portraits and Stories from Around the World. Often accompanied by her daughter Natalia, Mihaela photographed girls from different backgrounds and cultures, wanting to show that each of them possesses unique qualities.
