A new Flashdata survey shows that the Romanians are determined to vote in large numbers at the May 4, most of them being determined about the candidate on which they will put the voting stamp. The ranking positions them in front, with the highest chances in the second round, George Simion and Crin Antonescu.

According to the survey, George Simion remains in the first place in the intention to vote in the presidential elections, with a score of 27%, pulling after him and the party he runs, gold, which reaches the first place, above the PSD and PNL in the intention to vote for the parties.
The ranking for the election of the president is completed by Crin Antonescu, the candidate of the ruling coalition, at a distance of only a percentage, with a score of 26%. In the third place is Nicușor Dan, an independent candidate supported by several parties, including USR. The mayor of the capital is quoted by 20% in the intention to vote, followed by Elena Lasconi, the official candidate and the head of the USR, which several leaders in the formation try to remove from the management. Lasconi has 9%and is followed by Lavinia Șandru (Candidata Pusl), with 4.8%, Daniel Funeriu, who has 1.3%, Silviu Predoiu (0.5%) and Cristian Terheș (0.3%).

The current ranking comes from several events that can affect the chances of the candidates: the USR abandonment towards Elena Lasconi and the “self -denunciation” statements of Victor Ponta. Thus, ask if they are aware of the two, 92% indicated “yes” regarding Victor Ponta and disapproved of the 2014 decision in 82%.
In the case of Elena Lasconi 89% they learned of the withdrawal of USR’s political support, 60% of the opinion that the decision is wrong, and another 32% is a correct decision.
The Golden Party increased in the intention to vote with the new presidential candidacy of George Simion, now having 25.5%, above the PSD (19.5%), PNL (15%), USR (11%), POT (3%), UDMR (3%) and SOS (2%).
How to divide the Romanian Ecture
In a hypothetical case in which Romania had to choose between the EU and the US, 62% of the survey respondents indicated the European Union, while 30% chose the United States.
Consive to indicate on a scale of 1 to 10 how safe they are that they will vote, 82% indicated 10, that they will surely vote. 9% indicated 1, that they will certainly not vote, the rest of the percentages being below 4%.
Asked by the same way how determined they are about the candidate they vote, 69% indicated 10, that is “totally determined, I know who I will vote with”.
At the same time, ask which platform prefers for information and socialization, 54% indicated Facebook, while another 46% indicated Tiktok.
The survey was conducted on April 10-12, 2025, on 7,500 respondents, 18 years old and over, by the questionnaire applied online with targeting on location, age, urban/rural, the margin of error being ± 3.5%, at a level of 95%.
