In a message addressed to her online community, Cabiria explained that she is going to go to the sea with her child and that she would appreciate the support of those who have things they no longer use:

“I’m going on my first beach vacation with baby. If you want to get him a first beach trip gift because I’m going to make a list of needs and it would be nice to cut costs. OR IF YOU’RE A MOM AND HAVE STUFF TO DONATE/RECOMMENDATIONS/ADVICE. Also, I need to buy a baby gate so this crazy guy moves like a bug and I need to protect him from the ladderi”, wrote Cabiria Morgenstern.

“Aren’t you ashamed to ask for things?”

The message immediately attracted reactions, including one in private, in which a follower reproached him: “Aren’t you ashamed to ask for things?”, according to Click!

Cabiria answered directly:

“Come on! you’re still doing something beautiful and worthy with your life, isn’t it a shame to send hate messages on the internet? Come back, you girl! PS: very interesting how people who don’t follow me and don’t know me see my stories and respond to them. I barely get to see the stories of people I know. Honey, how did you find me?”.

“I ask for things that people don’t use anymore and would otherwise throw away. It seems perfectly normal to ask”

After criticism mounted, Cabiria Morgenstern came back with explanations, claiming that she sees nothing wrong with asking for help when you need it, especially as a mother.

“I’m not asking for money. I’ve never asked for money. I’m asking for things that people don’t use anymore and would otherwise throw away. It seems perfectly normal to ask. I don’t understand why asking if someone has something to give has come to be considered begging. If someone wants to help, fine. If not, move on”, said the daughter of Maia Morgenstern.

In an InstaStory, Cabiria added that she is against consumerism and prefers to exchange items with other mothers, instead of buying things that the child will only use for a short time.
