Mugur-Mihai Toader, named the new prefect of the Capital. Another 13 prefects and 11 sub-prefects, released from their positions

Mugur-Mihai Toader was appointed the new prefect of the Capital, in place of Rareș Hopincă, the candidate of the PSD – PNL alliance for the City Hall of Sector 2, according to a decision adopted on Thursday, in the Government meeting. Another 13 prefects and 11 sub-prefects from several counties were released from their positions, in order to run for the local elections on June 9.

In the chapter on dismissals there are 14 prefects and 11 sub-prefects, and in the chapter on appointments 14 prefects and seven sub-prefects. I also remind you of the context in which this series of government decisions comes: Law no. 115 of 2015 for the election of local public administration authorities forbids that prefects and sub-prefects can run for office without first resigning at least 50 days before the date of the elections, and until June 9, I counted, May including today we have 59 days. That is why this series of decisions comes“, declared the spokesman of the Executive, Mihai Constantin, on Thursday evening, in a press conference at the Victoria Palace.

Thus, according to a Government release, the following were released from the position of prefect: Radu-Valeriu Perianu (Argeş); Bogdănel Lucian-Gabriel Bogdănel (Bacău); Valentin Barbu (Călăraşi); Claudiu Gavril-Sorin (Galaţi); Iulian-Vasile Popescu (Gorj); Călin-Petru Marian (Hunedoara); Petru-Bogdan Cojocaru (Iasi); Vasile-Adrian Niţă (Neamţ); Mario-Lucian De Mezzo (Olt); Daniel-Virgiliu Nanu (Prahova); Radu-Tiberiu Roca (Satu Mare); Haralambie Epure (Teleorman); Nicuşor Halici (Vrancea); Rares Hopincă (Bucharest).

At the same time, the following sub-prefects were dismissed: Corneliu Mureşan (Alba); Tiberiu Manolache (Botoşani); Lucian Pătraşcu (Braşov); Adin Boboc (Brăila); Răzvan-Iulian Ciortea (Cluj); Nicusor Rosca (Dolj); Constantina-Anca Borduşanu (Gorj); Emil Draganescu (Prahova); Florin Florian (Salaj); Gabriel Florea (Sibiu); Sorin-Gabriel Ionescu (Timiş), according to Agerpres.

In place of those released from the post of prefect, the Executive appointed the following: Lucian-Dragoş Predescu (Argeş); Claudiu-Augustin Ilișanu (Bacău); Valentin-Dumitru Deculescu (Călărași); Andreea-Anamaria Naggar (Galați); Virgil Drăguşin (Gorj); Florina-Doris Visirin (Hunedoara); Constantin-Felix Guzgă (Iasi); Adrian Bourceanu (Neamţ); Stefan Nicolae (Olt); Emil Draganescu (Prahova); Ioan Tibil (Satu Mare); Valentina-Veronica Mitran-Piticu (Teleorman); Marius-Eusebiu Iorga (Vrancea); Mugur-Mihai Toader (Bucharest).

The new sub-prefects appointed by the Government are: Sandu Heler (Alba); Cristina Breșug (Botoşani); Dragoş-Gelu Fătu (Brăila); Ileana Toma Şerban (Dolj); Adi-Mircea Tănase (Prahova); Dorin-Alexandru Pura (Sălaj); Maria Minea (Sibiu).
