The Ministry of Education and Research published, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, one day earlier, the results of the National Assessment recorded before the appeals. There are only seven averages out of 10 nationwide, the fewest since 2011.
At the level of the entire country, only seven averages of 10 were recorded, the fewest in the 2011-2026 interval for which the MEC published the data.
The seven averages out of 10 were recorded as follows:
– Gorj – 1 – at the “Alexandru Ștefulescu” Secondary School, Târgu-Jiu;
– Mureș – 1 – at the National College “Al. Papiu Ilarian” Târgu-Mureș;
– Prahova – 1 – at the National College “Nicolae Stănescu” Ploiești;
– Iași – 1 – at the “Costache Negruzzi” National College Iași;
– Bucharest – 3 – at “IG Duca” Secondary School, “Leonardo Da Vinci” Secondary School and 142 Secondary School.
In 2025 there were 85 averages of 10, and in 2024 – 74, in previous years the figures were much higher, as can be seen from the table below. In the period 2011 – 2026, the most averages of 10 were recorded in 2020, 892 in number.

The exam was fully taken by 143,251 secondary school graduates (out of a total of 148,268 registered graduates), resulting in a participation rate of 96.6%.

Mathematics put them to the test
In Romanian language and literature, 81.8% of the candidates obtained marks above 5, and 398 students were marked with a 10. In Mathematics, on the other hand, only 74.3% of the candidates had marks above 5 and 86 achieved the maximum score.
The situation is even more telling regarding the distribution by backgrounds, in Mathematics, 42.56% of students from the village scored below the passing mark, compared to 15.49% below 5 for the candidates from the urban area.
The calendar for viewing the works and filing appeals remained unchanged, MEC representatives also announced.
“Written works can be viewed and possible appeals can be submitted according to the approved calendar: Viewing the works and submitting objections take place on July 1, between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., respectively on July 2 and 3, according to the approved calendar.” the ministry sent.
