Former Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced on Tuesday the filing of a complaint with the National Council for Combating Discrimination (CNCD) against Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu, regarding the situation of his daughter, who he claims was not included on the passenger list of a repatriation flight from Dubai. The former PSD leader stated that he will also file a criminal complaint next week.
“Today I submitted the first complaint against Minister Oana Țoiu to the National Council for Combating Discrimination. Next week, the criminal complaint to the General Prosecutor’s Office will follow” wrote the politician on Facebook.
Ponta says that his approach is no longer strictly aimed at his daughter’s situation:
“She was admitted to one of the most prestigious American universities in the world and, starting in the fall, she will go there to study. Mrs. Țoiu cannot remove her from that university, nor will any hyena, seal, or userist “herring” say that she “got in her face”. It is about my desire that no minor in Romania will be discriminated against by some non-humans who have reached high positions, some fanatics blinded by hatred and envy! It is necessary for our society to sanction the scoundrels who fight with some children to take revenge on their parents! There is another important objective: to see if the state institutions do their legal duty or have become totally blocked by fear in the face of userist propaganda”,
Ponta claims that his daughter was on the list drawn up by the consulate, but she was not boarded on the plane.
“All the factual and legal elements are now clear: the law stipulates what MFA representatives must do in the case of an unaccompanied minor Romanian citizen in a war zone. We also have attached the list drawn up by the consulate, on which Irina is, as well as the list of passengers on that flight, in which 14 seats remained unoccupied and in which half were adults who were not even accompanying minors. The institutions of the Romanian state must apply the law or show everyone that USR ministers are above the law, beneficiaries of the special protection offered from outside Romania! the former PSD president also wrote on his social media page.
The MFA denied the removal of Ponta’s daughter from the list: “The number of places allocated to Romanian citizens, completely occupied”
We remind you that the said air race (Oman – Bucharest), in which Victor Ponta’s daughter did not get a seat, was carried out through the European Civil Protection Mechanism. According to the MAE, 127 Romanian citizens were boarded, including 95 minors from groups of schoolchildren from Neamț, Suceava, Vrancea and 39 foreign citizens.
The repatriation operations carried out through this European mechanism are, in fact, organized by each member state, but the EU can cover up to 75% of the eligible costs for flights under one condition: at least 30% of the available seats are offered to citizens of other EU countries.
In a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs it is shown that indeed also in the race that took off from Muscat (Sultanate of Oman), with the destination Bucharest, operated on Friday, March 6, 30% of the seats were reserved for EU citizens who are not Romanian, in order to respect the condition of the European mechanism.
Thus, in the race there were: 127 Romanian citizens, including 95 minors who were part of the groups of schoolchildren from Neamț, Suceava, Vrancea counties and 39 European citizens.
The MFA stated that the number of seats allocated to Romanian citizens on this flight was fully occupied and denied the removal of Ponta’s daughter from the list.
