Carrefour has introduced a new payment system through which people who are in the vicinity of the stores can receive money for various punctual tasks.
The business model, created by Traxlo Company, is called pay-per-task – where users are paid per activity performed, not per hour, and Carrefour thus becomes the first retailer in the country to implement a solution to streamline the preparation of online orders.
Users who sign up on your pocket platform they are immediately connected with a nearby Carrefour store and can earn extra income when they perform certain tasks, such as support for taking online orders, through pickingthe products.
Tasks include preparing online orders, restocking shelves or checking stocks. The duration of the tasks varies from one hour to several hours, and the payment for a task can be between 30 lei and several hundred lei.
Tasks are created and managed in the platform, where each activity is clearly defined, supported by training materials and verified by digital reporting and photo validation. This enables both store and central teams to monitor execution and maintain consistent operational standards.
“We are coming to Romania with a solution that helps local communities to get extra income, again the partnership with Carrefour Romania
is a first step in this direction”says Paulius Vezelis, Traxlo CEO.
“As the e-grocery market develops, in-store operations become increasingly dynamic. Through the Traxlo platform, retailers can activate task-based operational support exactly when it’s needed, helping in-store teams prepare orders efficiently and maintain high service standards,” he concluded.
350 shops integrated into the platform
Online commerce continues to grow, so retailers are adapting their operations to prepare orders as efficiently as possible, direct from stores. The collaboration between Carrefour and Traxlo introduces a flexible model that enables the activation of task-based operational support exactly when needed, especially during peak periods of promotional campaigns and seasonal demand growth.
“As a leader in e-grocery, our priority is to constantly develop this business segment, to be as close as possible to customers. Today, approximately 350 stores are already integrated into fast delivery platforms. Through this partnership, we can introduce an additional level of operational flexibility, so that we can be faster and better respond to the ever-changing needs of consumers.” said Bogdan Moise, Carrefour Romania E-commerce Director.
For Carrefour, this model provides a controlled, on-demand mechanism for increasing operational capacity that supports in-store teams without affecting existing structures.
Traxlo already operates in the UK and several European markets, working with major retailers to support in-store operations through a network of over 35,000 registered taskers. To date, the platform has facilitated nearly half a million verified retail tasks, helping retailers manage peak periods, understaffing and short-term spikes in demand.
The Traxlo model has already been successfully implemented with large retail groups in Europe, including REWE Group, Żabka and Salling Group, where thousands of people perform tasks in stores in multiple cities.
