Disney’s live-action production “Snow White” and the sci-fi remake “War of the Worlds” each received six nominations at the Golden Raspberry Awards, known as the Golden Raspberry Awards, which “reward” Hollywood’s most uninspired films and acting performances, Reuters reports.
The 46th Golden Raspberry Awards, popularly called the Razzies, will be held on March 14, a day before the Oscars.
Snow White, a 2025 remake of Disney’s famous 1937 animated film, was nominated for worst actor, worst remake, worst director and worst screenplay. The cast of the production includes Rachel Zegler, as Snow White, and Gal Gadot, who plays Stepmother. The Seven Dwarfs – entirely computer-generated and not played by real actors – also received nominations for worst supporting actor and worst screen couple.
Tied with “Snow White,” sci-fi film “War of the Worlds,” also released in 2025, earned six nominations. The film, based on the classic 1898 novel by HG Wells and starring rapper Ice Cube and actress Eva Longoria, was nominated for worst movie, actors, remake, director, screenplay and worst screen couple.
Other productions nominated for the Golden Raspberry include the psychological thriller “Hurry Up Tomorrow”, the sci-fi film “Star Trek: Section 31” and the Netflix action-adventure production “The Electric State”, which stars “Stranger Things” Millie Bobby Brown.
Golden Raspberry winners are voted on by more than 1,100 members in the United States and several dozen other countries. Voters are part of the Golden Raspberry Foundation, an organization of film critics and cinematography experts, according to the competition’s official website.
