A special event dedicated to all fans of controlled drifts will take place at the end of this week in Sector 3 of the Capital. The pros will also be there to offer practical advice to those looking to test their skills in an organized environment, all under the slogan Champions are on the track, not the roads.

The project, which has a national coverage, taking place in several areas of the country, has already attracted hundreds of teribilists, and some of them have already chosen to start a career in the true sense of the word drifting.
“The event is open to any owner of a rear-wheel drive car with a valid ITP and RCA, but obviously also a driving licence. They just need to sign up, then they will follow the necessary steps to get into the program. There are also professional pilots at their disposal, who will offer them courses dedicated to this discipline. At a time when there are more and more accidents due to stuntmen, we want all this adrenaline to take place in an organized and safe setting for everyone. In addition, we are sure that some of those who will be present have the necessary talent to become professional pilots“, said Denis Manea, RoDrift’s vice president.
“Champions are on the circuit, not on the roads” is scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday (August 31 – September 1) at the Pallady Auto-Moto Park in Sector 3 of the Capital, moreover, the project being developed in partnership with the City Hall of this sector with non-refundable funds from the local budget. Public access it will be free on both days and the lucky ones will have the opportunity to sit to the right of a professional driver for a lap of the circuit.
Amateurs who sign up to participate this weekend will have their own route and a dedicated competition, and the winner will receive a free drift course, but also the possibility to participate in a stage of the National Drift Championship in the future, in the class Street.
Incidentally, also this weekend at Poligonul Auto-Moto Pallady will also take place the fourth stage of the Street class season, a competition that can also decide the winner of the fight for the title, the great favorite being Adrian Mirea. At the same time, a competition for drift kids is scheduled, for children who have already attended drift courses and have a license from the Romanian Sports Motor Federation, the youngest of them being Alexis Stan, only 9 years old.
