Temperatures will gradually drop until the beginning of the end of this week, and if it will be warmer by up to 18 degrees than normal during this period, until Tuesday it will cool down and the low temperatures will be felt in most of the country.
From 31 degrees to frost in a few days
The National Meteorological Administration informed that on Saturday, in the north and northwest end of the country, although the weather will cool slightly, will continue to be much warmer than normal for this date (positive thermal deviations of 15 – 18 degrees compared to multiannual environments).
“Thus, the maximum temperatures will be between 14 degrees in northern Crișana and 31 degrees in the south western Dobrogea, and the minimum ones will generally be included between 4 and 14 degrees. The sky will be variable, with temporarily accentuated clouds and periods with showers and electric shocks in Banat, Crișana, Maramureș, Transylvania, locally in Oltenia and Moldova and isolated in Muntenia ”, informed ANM.
On Saturday, in the capital the weather will be much warmer than usual at this time (the thermal values being 15 – 16 degrees above the multiannual environments). The maximum temperature will be around 28 degrees, and the minimum of 10 – 12 degrees, meteorologists show.
In the following days, the weather in the country will cool, and on Tuesday, March 18, the maximum temperatures will be between 0 and 9 degrees, and the minimum ones between -9 and 2 degrees, lower in eastern Transylvania, where it will be frost. At times, in the morning and night the haze will form. In Bucharest, the maximum temperature will be around 8 degrees, and the minimum one will be between -4 and -2 degrees, ANM shows.
Vulnerable people affected by temperature oscillations
Health specialists point out that large differences in temperatures from one day to another or those between the day and nights can affect people. They can cause complications to those with health problems, such as hypertensive people, those who have bronchitis and allergies, suffering from rheumatism, but also other vulnerable people.
“We are in the transition period, spring, in which we have large temperature differences between night and day, in the morning and midday, and these temperature differences can affect the human body, if we fail to adapt the body to these temperature differences. They can lead to fatigue states in the elderly and those with chronic conditions, especially cardio-vascular and respiratory. Complications of the disease may occur, especially if they do not take their proper treatment ”says the doctor Cecilia Birău, from the Hunedoara Public Health Directorate.
The specialist adds that during this period cases of rhinitis can occur, which are due both to the temperature variations, but also because the plants begin to “bloom” and can cause allergic rhinitis. We are also in spring, when signs and symptoms of depression, spring asthenia can occur.
When the body is forced to switch from a high temperature to a very low temperature, the immune system is instantly weakened, and the body becomes vulnerable to seasonal viruses, doctors show.
How we protect ourselves from the whims of the weather
The temperature differences in this period influence the health and mood of the people. Doctors offer some tips to reduce the effects of the instability of the time.
“We must adapt our body through those simple things, which means, first of all, a healthy lifestyle, ie a nutrition rich in vegetables and fruits. They bring us both mineral substances and vitamins, for which we have a need, during this transition period. Let us not forget that the World Health Organization recommends five servings of vegetables and fruits a day (a portion meaning the amount that can be held in the palm). Proteins should not be missing from the diet, nor the fruits with hard core, such as nuts, peanuts, peanuts, because they bring both proteins and quality fats. Let’s not forget about hydration, those two liters of water recommended for daily consumption, but we can also use herbal teas, not necessarily from the tea plant – which brings a wealth of antioxidants, but also has a role of growth that can lead to dehydration. “says doctor Cecilia Birău.
Another recommendation of the specialist from DSP Hunedoara is rest: at least 9 – 10 hours a day in children and adolescents and at least eight hours for adults. People are advised to dress properly, with clothes made of natural materials, to ensure the normal body temperature, 37 degrees Celsius, and in homes to maintain a constant temperature of 21 – 22 degrees Celsius. However, the movement in nature is equally important to reduce the effects of the capricious spring weather.
