Because UK beaches dominate a large part of Europe’s top, other popular beaches on the continent were taken into account when compiling the ranking, with the exception of those in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Thus, Nautholsvik geothermal beach in Iceland is considered the most peaceful place in Europe. Over 15% of its online reviews highlighted its relaxing atmosphere.
Ayia Thekla Beach in Cyprus is the second most relaxing beach in Europe, standing out for its clear waters and peaceful surroundings. In contrast, Denmark’s Amager Strandpark, ranked third with 8% relaxing reviews, offers travelers a more urban escape, combining proximity to the city with calm and scenic views of the Baltic Sea.
In fourth place is Salthill Beach in Ireland, followed by Kavatsite Beach in Bulgaria and Portmarnock and Killiney Beaches, also in Ireland. Sveti Jakov beach in Croatia is in eighth place, Tramore beach in Ireland is in ninth place, and Constanța beach in Romania is in tenth place.
