Cristi and Ralu, two well-known Romanian vloggers, have chosen a special holiday destination in Western Europe. The two went to Spain and spent several vacation days in a caravan.

Cristi and Ralu arrived in Spain, on a beach in Pensicola, near Barcelona, and the prices took them by surprise. “We parked our motorhome directly on the beach in Spain. In a fantastic campsite, by the sea, sunbed, restaurant, blue water like in exotic countries and everything you need. VUm we show some prices for restaurants, camping, Peñiscola and Cambrils”, wrote the two young people in the description of the clip.
Tiny prices compared to Romania
“Pink, white or red, 2.75 euros. This is the moment you’ve been waiting 5 years for on YouTube. Two sunbeds, table and umbrella? Is Raluca coming?”, said Cristi. “Zero”came the reply, meaning that the youths did not pay a dime for all this.
“Bro, Spain, including the summer, if you know how to do it, is the new Thailand“, added the young man. “I want to show you the new location where we are, for which we paid 90 euros for two days, in the most season of seasons. Month, August, full season.”
Spain, like Thailand and the Philippines
Cristi also compared the beach to the Philippines. “I had coffee here yesterday, very good, do you know how much a coffee costs you? 2 euros. A cocktail is 8 euros, a beer is 2.80 euros, or Voldam is 3 euros. Smoothies, because Raluca drinks these smoothies. Pink banana, 5.50 euros. Bloody berry, 5.50 euros. Order these and do you know how much the chaise longue, two chaise longues and table and umbrella will cost you? Take a day at alu, how much is it? Zero. Zero. It costs zero. Zero euros. So, only if you are consuming, these are included here, right on the beach. Luxury and Opulence”said the two young men.
Champagne is also much cheaper than on any terrace or in any restaurant in Romania. And the sunbeds, which on the Romanian coast end up costing 100 lei, are free in Spain. “I’m not crazy about champagne, but I still don’t sell them for four times their normal price. And you can drink it here, on the beach, on a deckchair, a sparkling wine is 15.90 euros. And that’s the final price. And a glass of wine, if you want, rosé, white or red, 2.75 euros. Spain is the new Thailand, if you will.” they added.
“Water. Mom, bro, it’s 65 cents a 2 liter bottle of water”the two vloggers wondered.
Later, the two had a hearty meal. And this time the food was cheaper than in Romania. “This table you saw, the snacks and this beer you saw here, in front of the sea, were 119 lei. 119 lei under conditions where only the octopus is 15 euros. Super cheap! For the location and where you are it’s super cheap. Beer was 2 euros, salmorejo was 4, and pulpo 15. And the bread“, Cristi also said.
5,000 likes in less than 24 hours
Their video was successful. Posted on August 23, in less than 24 hours it had amassed over 53,000 views on You Tube. More than 5,000 of those who watched the episode liked the clip, and several hundred also commented. Most were delighted.
Not everyone agreed that conditions were among the best in Spain. “I lived for several years in Alicante and I saw, in addition to many pleasant things and some less pleasant things: the lack of showers on the beach, they are completely absent. There were only taps for the sand on the feet, with undrinkable water. Lack of shaded areas on the pedestrian walkway near the beach. You can walk for miles and not find a bit of shade. You are obliged to sit on a terrace. Lack of public toilets in the city. There is no public toilet in the whole city. You are not welcome at restaurants unless you are a customer. I have noticed this in several cities in the Valencian Community. I don’t want to be misunderstood, life there is superb, much better than Romania, so you can easily get over these little inconveniences! Long live Spain!“, someone wrote.
“Spain has been a wish come true for me for 20 years. I wouldn’t give this wonderful country, with people without complexities and always cheerful, for any other. You know that very well. I hug you!“, another netizen wrote. “I have 3 favorite countries, France, Italy and Spain, and in the coming years I want to visit them as much as I can. They are open-air museums, it’s not for nothing that they are in the top 3 most visited countries in the world!”was another message.
“This year we wanted to go to Spain and Malta, but we saw that the locals are against tourists. Protests, they sprayed the tourists with water pistols, on the street, on the terraces“, someone pointed out.
