The first loss of the Romanian national team for the tie with Turkey. Mircea Lucescu’s attack, in pawns

The UEFA Disciplinary Commission dictated a two-stage suspension for Denis Drăguș (26 years old). The national team striker, registered with the Turkish team Eyüpspor, was eliminated in the 68th minute of the game Bosnia-Herzegovina – Romania 3-1, on November 15.

Denis Drăguș saw the red card directly, just two minutes after entering the field. The striker has already served a stage of suspension, in the game with San Marino, from the last stage of the preliminaries groups. Thus, Drăguș would miss the semi-final of the play-off for the World Cup, on March 26, in Istanbul, against Turkey.

The FRF has already announced that it plans to appeal, hoping that the suspension will be reduced to one stage. “The Romanian Football Federation is waiting for the official reasoning of the decision and will appeal“, convey the people from Casa Fotbalului.

“Il Luce” have problems in attack, after another central striker, Daniel Bîrligea, 25 years old, got injured and will be out for a few weeks. The FCSB star is a starter in the offensive line, hoping for his recovery by game time in Istanbul.

The 80-year-old selector of the tricolors hopes that Radu Drăgușin (23 years old) will also get minutes at Tottenham, so that he will be a starter in the center of the defense.
