The Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR) resumed, on Wednesday, October 8, the settlement of notifications on four draft laws in the package two of fiscal-budgetary measures, which the Government has hired its liability in Parliament. The decisions were postponed on September 24. There are two other complaints of the president on the agenda.

UPDATE 11.40: CCR again postpone the referral of the pension law for magistrates
The RCC postponed for October 21, the discussion of the notification submitted by the Supreme Court regarding the changes aimed at the pensions of the magistrates, according to G4Media sources.

On the agenda of the RCC on Wednesday there are 4 projects from the second package, among which the objection of unconstitutionality of the law for the modification and completion of some normative acts in the field of service pensions, which brings substantial changes to the conditions of retirement for magistrates. The project was attacked by the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
On the CCR table there are 3 other projects of the second package:
– The draft law on health reform (gold submitted notifications, can also Romania)
– The draft law with the new taxes and fiscal measures from the Ministry of Finance (gold submitted notifications, can also Romania)
– The draft law on corporate governance (gold submitted notifications, can also Romania).
The RCC rejected in the meeting on September 24, the objections of unconstitutionality of the Law on the efficiency of the activity of some autonomous administrative authorities, which provides for the reorganization of AS, ANRE and ANCOM.
The latter is the only project in the second package that has so far passed the constitutionality control. In the case of the project regarding the special pensions of the magistrates, the CCR could postpone the decision again.
Two initiatives were sent by President Nicușor Dan:
– The objection of unconstitutionality of the law for amending and completing Law no.489/2006 on religious freedom and the general regime of cults, objection formulated by the President of Romania
– The objection of unconstitutionality of the Law for amending the Government Emergency Ordinance no.83/1999 regarding the restitution of immovable property that belonged to the communities of the citizens belonging to the national minorities in Romania, for completing the Government Emergency Ordinance no.94/2000 regarding the retrocession of some immovable property, as well as to no.165/2013 regarding the measures for the completion of the process of restitution, in kind or by equivalent, of the buildings taken over abusively during the communist regime in Romania, an objection formulated by the President of Romania.
On the CCR agenda is also the objection of unconstitutionality of the Law for completing Law no.267/2008 regarding some special measures for regulating the restified rest and for making the reception in the unique phase of construction works and of their related installations to the investment objective the Parliament Palace, as well as for the regulation of measures regarding the administration of the Parliament, belonging to the parliamentary group the Alliance for the Union of Romanians.
