This is a truly special moment for me. Austria is the country in which I was born, the country where I grew up and where I took the first steps in football. It is an incredibly great honor that I was noticed by such a national team.

I am grateful for this opportunity and I am excited to give everything for the team. At the same time, I have the same respect for my roots in Romania. My roots, my family and my culture are important parts of who I am and appreciate all the support I received from both Austria and Romania.

This decision (no – to represent Austria) is not about choosing one team to the detriment of another, but about embracing a path that brought me here. I am determined to give everything to Austria and make my family and proud supporters“, River Florucz wrote on Instagram.
