Mario, an Italian in love with travelers, gathered his special impressions about Târgoviște in a filming he posted on his YouTube account, entitled Roaming Mario.

Royal residence and capital between 1396 and 1714, the city has held more than three centuries the status of the most important economic, political-military and cultural-artistic center of the region, Târgoviște being the fortress of the Romanian Country.

“I really liked to explore the city of Târgoviște at step, without an itinerary established beforehand. The Metropolitan Park is a delight. Târgoviște is a city with a incredibly rich history. I explored the former capital of Romania from the royal court of Vlad Țepeș to the famous tower of Chindia. Whether you love history, the dark legends are full of charm, Târgoviște has many things and wonderful places to offer! I read a lot about the rulers of the Romanian Country and I was fascinated. People are calmer and more good compared to those in Bucharest. Târgoviște is a quiet city, with charm and that you can easily walk ”says Mario, the Italian passionate about travelers and who spent almost two days in the former capital of the Romanian Country.

The Italian also went to the cafes and bookstores in Târgoviște. “I drank a coffee as good as in Italy in a chic cafe. I also liked a very elegant bookstore from Târgoviște. I can say that this city was a special discovery for me, a true hidden urban jewel ”adds Mario.

During the reign of Mircea cel Bătrân, Târgoviște became the main royal residence of the Romanian Country. In the internal acts, the Royal Court is attested during Mircea cel Bătrân.

During the reign of Vlad Țepeș, the Tower of Chindiei was built, initially for military purposes, the building serving as a point of guard, firewood, but also for the storage of the treasure.
