The minister pointed out the need for more personalized interventions, in which the means based on “punishments” and “rewards” (eg personal and organizational drug culture, alternative activities, such as sport, etc.) alternate.
Daniel David will ask to facilitate access to integrated packages of medical and psychological treatments, according to the statements made in the debate on trafficking and drug use in schools and high schools, organized by the Commission for abuse research, combating corruption and petitions from the Senate of Romania.
“Along with other relevant aspects (eg thousands of anti -drug activities carried out annually in the education system), the minister has pointed out that we already have many good forms (regulations) in the area of combating trafficking and drug use, but that we must give them content and make them work better.”the Ministry of Education said.
According to the representatives of the institution, this can be done “through rational integrated approaches to at least three levels ”:
(1) clean areas, without drugs and dealers, around schools and schools;
(2) Primary and secondary prevention based on evidence, made by specialists from various fields, coordinated in scientifically validated interventions by specialists in psychology of cognitive-attitudinal and behavioral changes, including here the education of teachers (and, in general, of the entire staff in schools) and parents
(3) units of medical and psychological treatment, including for tertiary prevention and prevention of relapses, all based on evidence.
