It happened a few months after his work visa was revoked (while traveling from Vancouver to Los Angeles), but the actress had a request for another visa.
Her mother, Alexis Eagles, who lives in British Colombia, says Jasmine was detained at the San Ysidro border crossing point between Mexico and San Diego, the busiest ground border crossing in March 3, due to the fact that his request for work was not complete. Instead of sending her daughter to Canada or advising her to solve her problems, the customs service officers and the US border protection have arrested her, said the actress for Vancouver Sun.
Jasmine Mooney, who is also co-founding of the Hyy Beat Brand! Water, was not accused of any crime and has no criminal record.
“Remove from their cells at 3 in the morning and transferred to the San Luis detention center”
After spending three nights in the detention center, the actress was transferred to Arizona.
“I learned that about 30 people, including Jasmine, were removed from their cells at 3 in the morning and transferred to the San Luis detention center (…). Are hosted together in a single concrete cell, without natural light, with fluorescent lights that are never extinguished, without carpets, no blankets and limited bathroom facilities“, Eagles said.
Like a corpse
The actress told ABC 10 that she was terrified by the conditions in the private detention center in San Luis.
“I have never seen something so inhuman in my life. I was put in a cell and I had to sleep on a blanket-free mattress, with an aluminum foil wrapped over my body, like a corpse, for two and a half days. “said the actress.
The actress explained that she had a three -year work visa in the US, which her mother said she was revoked while trying to return to Los Angeles, where she lived after a holiday in Canada. It is not clear why Mooney’s previous visa was revoked or why the actress was on the southern border this month. However, she told ABC that she obtained her first visa at the San Ysidro border crossing point at the advice of a Los Angeles lawyer, who met her on the border and could therefore have thought that the second time would work in that location.
Mooney was released over the weekend and landed at Vancouver International Airport shortly after midnight on March 15th.
“I still process everything”Mooney told reporters waiting for it in the area of international airport.
“I haven’t slept for a while and I haven’t eaten adequate food for some time“She said for CTV News.
