What products would not buy Romanians even if they were 1 leu? Energizing, at the top of the list

The price is the most important factor that causes Romanians to buy a product, according to studies. However, a debate on an online platform shows that this trend changes slowly and there are many products that Romanians would not buy even if they were very cheap.

Romanians attach considerable importance to the price in their purchase decisions, often putting it before the quality of the products. More studies and surveys underline this trend.

Most Romanians choose the products according to the price, most prefer to go shopping whenever necessary, a study made by infocons- the Association for Consumer Protection. Specifically, 80% of Romanians choose the products according to the price. Promotions and advice from friends do not weigh as much in the purchase of a product and regarding the advice of the commercial worker and advertising, they represent weaker factors to influence the purchase decision. The quality of the product is only in the second place.

Another study, conducted by Isense Solutions, shows that in the urban area, 39% of consumers choose food depending on the price, and 30% take into account label. Young people between the ages of 18 and 29 are less attentive to the label, only 20% of them declaring that they read it

A PWC Voice of Consumer 2024 report shows that the price remains the most important factor in the purchase decision, followed by the impact on health and sustainability. Reducing costs and promotional offers are the main reasons for changing the brand.

Mkor Consulting study, quoted by Forbes shows that almost 5 out of 10 people who prefer Romanian products choose them first to support Romanian companies. In addition to the feeling of patriotism, 43% appreciate them for their quality, and 39% consider them more natural compared to those of import. Most of those who prefer imported products first choose because they have better prices (49% of those who choose the imported products) and are of high quality (33%) compared to those in Romania.

These data suggest that although the price remains a determining factor in the buying behavior of Romanians, this trend changes and Romanians are no longer willing to buy anything.

It was about 2 lei 50 money. Finally, after I liked it, I remember that on that day I bought 6. I didn’t drink them all, I estimate that out of 6 I drank about 3 and a half-4 that I was still giving my colleagues.

At the moment I didn’t feel anything, I was playing, I consumed energy. But in the evening, starting at 10-11, I started to hurt me. I vomited half a night, mine said it would be from what I ate with what juice I drank. I did not say that I drank that an idiot 4 energizers. ”
