A blogger from Poland talked about the “most boring country he’s ever been to” in Europe in a Reddit post. This state has no airport or landlocked, but has spectacular alpine scenery.
It is about Liechtenstein, a country “crammed” between Austria and Switzerland. Tourists who chose to explore the small country described the experience as boring, writes Express.
Kami, a blogger from Poland who visited this small country, called it “the most boring country he’s ever been to” and said she doesn’t blame those who don’t visit because “didn’t find anything really special to like.”
A Reddit post titled “Liechtenstein (and why I think it’s not really worth it)”, seems to confirm these views, the author writing: “There’s nothing wrong with her, but there’s nothing special about her either.”
Many users have suggested that the country is more suitable for a day trip than a dedicated holiday.
Liechtenstein has no airport, so most travelers arrive at Schaan-Vaduz railway station, located north of the capital, on trains that cross the Austrian Alps.
However, rail transport within the country is limited, with only three stations. Fortunately, there are buses and taxis from Schaan-Vaduz.

The first stop for most tourists is Vaduz Castle, a fairytale castle that is still the official residence of the royal family. Although access to the interior is not allowed to the public, it is worth a visit for the spectacular views over the Rhine Valley.
At the foot of the castle, the capital Vaduz is a compact city, combining modern architecture with mountain elements.

Visitors can explore the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, a modern art museum housed in a black, cubic building, but full of color inside.

Smaller, the Liechtensteinisches Landesmuseum focuses on the natural and cultural history of the country. At its main site in Vaduz, the museum comprises two historic buildings and a new building.
The Liechtensteinisches Landesmuseum also includes the Postal Museum and the Treasure Room in Vaduz, as well as a museum of the traditional peasant house in Schellenberg.

Cathedral of St. Florin impresses with its Neo-Gothic style, large stained glass windows and dramatic sculptures. It was built in 1874 by Friedrich von Schmidt, on the site of earlier medieval foundations. His spiritual patron is Florinus of Remüs (Florin), a ninth-century saint from the Vinschgau Valley.
The cathedral hosts national ceremonies and events of the princely family. In August 2025, Princess Marie Caroline, the granddaughter of Prince Hans Adam II, was married here.
Nearby, Malbun is the country’s main ski resort and usually operates from December to April.
Less crowded and with family-friendly slopes, it is the ideal place for children, thanks to the Malbi-park area, which offers a ski school, beginner facilities and other useful facilities for first experiences on the slopes.
