The Romanian men’s national basketball team defeated the Norwegian team with a score of 75-62 (26-20, 17-18, 12-12, 20-12), on Thursday evening, in Oslo, in a match from Group B of the pre-qualifications for 2027 FIBA World Cup.
Romania lost the first match of this campaign, in February, in Cluj-Napoca, 72-76 against Luxembourg, but returned to the race with the success in Oslo, according to Agerpres.

The tricolors led almost permanently and prevailed with a difference of 13 points, after the maximum difference was 18 points.
The MVP of the team coached by Mihai Silvăşan was Alex Olah, with 16 points, 6 rebounds, Kris Richard stood out with 14 p, 3 rec, 3 assists, Bogdan Nicolescu, with 12 p, Emanuel Cățe, with 8 p, 13 rec.
Norway’s formation stood out through Harald Frey, 21 p, 3 rec, 5 pd, Chris-Ebou Ndow, 13 p, 11 rec, Kristian Sjolund, 13 p, 4 rec.
Romania will play another match, on Sunday, away, against Luxembourg.
The tricolors occupy the first place in the ranking, with three points, followed by Norway, with three points, and Luxembourg, also with three points.
The winners of the three groups from the first phase of the pre-qualifications and the best team in second place will qualify for the second phase.
