Romania shines at the European Mathematics Olympiad for girls. Four medals obtained

Four medals obtained the Romanian students at the European Mathematics Olympiad for girls 2025, the Ministry of Education announced on Wednesday.

The European Mathematics Olympiad for girls 2025 (EGMO 2025) took place, on April 11-17, 2025, in Pristina, in Kosovo. The lot of our country consisted of four students from the International Theoretical High School of Informatics Bucharest.

Mitroi Aida, a student in the 11th grade, obtained a gold medal, Boiangiu Ana, from the 12th grade, took the silver medal, and Stroe Ioana, the 10th grade, and Diaconu Iustina, the 11th grade, obtained bronze medals.

The competition was attended by 56 countries, 35 of them being from Europe. The Romanian team was led by Mihail Băluna (teacher, “Mihai Viteazu” National College, Bucharest) and Anca BăltariGă (teacher, International Theoretical High School, Bucharest).
