Former President Klaus Iohannis was filmed while sweeping the sidewalk in front of his house in Sibiu, in a hypostasis that aroused unexpected reactions on social networks.

After leaving the position of president of Romania on February 12, Klaus Iohannis seems to have adapted quickly to the daily life of a simple citizen in his hometown, Sibiu, according to Sibiu time. Lately, his public appearances were rare, but on Friday afternoon he was surprised in a unique hypostasis: cleaning in front of the house.
The images were filmed and published on the social networks by former policeman Marian Răduinea and became quickly viral. In the recording, Klaus Iohannis appears lightly dressed, carefully sweeping the sidewalk in front of his gate, located on Bâlea Street.
The passers-by were amazed to see the former head of state in this unexpected position. The reactions did not delay to appear in the comments online, where many made jokes on the account of Iohannis.
Since his departure, Klaus Iohannis has been seen in public only a few times. In March, he participated, together with his wife, Carmen Iohannis, in a religious service at the Roman Catholic Church in Sibiu Square. He was also present at the Resurrection service, in the same place of worship, Easter.
Currently, the position of interim president of Romania is held by Ilie Bolojan.
