Romanians debate on a group of holidays the prices on the local coast. Like past years, many complain that in Bulgaria and Greece the prices are lower and when they are equal, the price quality ratio is in favor of foreigners.

Interesting debate on the Facebook group “Holidays in Romania” about the prices practiced on the Romanian coast.
“If yesterday some of you commented on another post about the prices in a restaurant, today I invite you to view those from a local with food to” pushed tray “and yes, there are real prices, today, on the Romanian coast. If they seem big, too, I really do not know what to say ”, It is the post from which the discussions started.
It was accompanied by a series of photos with the prices of a canteen in Eforie, from which the following prices could be seen: bean soup-21 lei; Perișori soup – 22 lei; For the second way, the prices were expressed by hundreds of grams: barbecue nail – 14 lei, smoked bean 12 lei, sausages – 11 lei, grilled chicken breast – 14 lei; on certain dishes the price was set on the portion – chop – 21 lei; Rice with vegetables – 9 lei, trout brine – 35 lei; Easter in white sauce – 25 lei; The sarmales cost 24 lei – 5 pieces, and the muffin – 6 lei the portion of 150 grams.
Asked what canteen is, the one who made the post Answer: “About everywhere in Eforie are the same prices.”

“No country in Europe has such high prices on the coast”
The post had hundreds of comments. We select some of them.
“No country in Europe has such high prices on the coast, and I tell you from your own experience … “
“If you see an all inclusive in Spain or Italy, you will not step on the Romanian coast.”
“Fortunately, I walked through this world long and wide, but what the Romanian coast offers, a price/quality ratio compared to other countries, is a beating. You go anywhere in the world and that money you get respect, generous portions and taste for food. In the Greeks, on any terrace you eat cheaper than us, starting from the fish, Gyros, the guest or anything else. Colac over the stern, water, bread, uzo and desert most of the time are from the house. I haven’t been doing my holidays for many years in the country and I will never do them. But I will see if the holiday vouchers are removed, how the Romanian tourism entrepreneurs will return to the ground. They were too accustomed to high prices because of holiday vouchers. ”
“That’s why are preferable holidays in Greece. You pay, but you are treated properly, the services far beyond the Romanian ones. ”
“Holidays are not mentioned, but no robbery on the big road! Have you heard of the value for money? In us the services are of questionable quality and overvalued at the price! ”
“90 lei … a kg of cold mashed potatoes.”
“Be careful that apart from the broths are one hundred grams, and yes, it is very expensive: 120 lei a kg of cage. ”

“Stay home if you find these prices expensive”
There were commentators who criticized those who say it’s too expensive.
“Stay at home if you find these prices expensive. When you go on vacation you do not look at the price, go for relaxation and rest, not to eat until you crack your belly. Go to Bulgaria, that only there you see from 100 km the hungry Romanians and ugly beach.
“And you can find on the coast. Each one chooses by pocket or education. By the way, for about 3 years I have been going to Mamaia a weekend. I found that it is cheaper to eat at the restaurant.
“It’s season, it’s tourism, it’s a business. Either you accept the game, or stay home. But do not make this a national drama anymore, because you are already tired! ”
“In Cluj, it is more expensive, but you stay at the table at a luxury restaurant, not to “push the tray” listening to the hands. “
“93 lei a complete meal”
“If these are low prices, I don’t know what to say. Let’s take this: a soup 22 + a neck 42 lei + 15 lei fried potatoes + 7 lei a salad + 7 lei something to drink = 93 lei a complete meal. We also put 2 lei bread and something sweet and there is over 20 euros a complete lunch for a person. ”
“Bat. 40 lei kg of muffins? What world do you live in? 1 kg of corn, water, salt … how much does it do, and from a kg of corn you do in a little 8 portions of the muffin.
“The price is not high for each: 6 lei / 150g of muffins. 40 lei kg of corn and water, with 2 grams of salt. Come on it’s not the price. Serious? But what the hell does it do at that muffin to reach 40 lei/kg? Leave it that way. ”
“Or potato puree 90 lei/kg. Take it, if you want: 1 kg of potatoes 5 lei, 1 liter milk 8 lei, a pack of butter 10 lei = 23 total for 4 servings. But up to 90 lei? I understand gas, water and the rest – say up to 50 lei 4 servings – but 90 lei? What are we talking about? ”
“At the Romanian coast (Horeca) they need a lesson this year: no customer! 3 years ago I was in Costinești – 5 days, 8000 lei and I mean “poverty”! With the same money you go to other countries “on wealth”, cleanliness, clear water! “
“It should, at what conditions they offer and prices, not to see the tour of the tourist! ”

“The Romanian coast is compared with other locations only at prices”
Comparisons with similar places in other countries also started.
“Last days I ate pizza in Barcelona, 100m from the beach, with 7-8 euros, in Napoletan style, to lick your fingers. The Romanian coast is compared with other locations only at prices. About services and what you can see I do not think it is worth talking. ”
“I prefer Bulgaria or Greece than Romania, even if it is a little more expensive and make rates for it, but the gypsy in Constanța, Năvodari, Eforie etc. make us choose other countries. I am born in CT, so I know what I am talking about. We have no tourism, we have a cigarette.”
“Greece – an example on all inclusive, that is” wealth “! Croatia – Another example, Bulgaria! ”
“That’s why I prefer to go to Greece. With 55 euros, I took a portion of grilled octopus with a garnish, four portions of fried potatoes and a large Greek salad. The portions are big, we have just managed to eat them. ”
“Finelnița” with the price percent grams
The commentators have argued that displaying the price for hundreds of grams is a “find” meant to make us believe that the prices are not so high.
“The prices are one hundred grams, so it is very expensive overall. ”
“For example, at rice with vegetables, one kilogram costs 110 lei, and 200 grams – 22 lei … and it is just the gasket! ”
“This find with the price according to the weight, to two parents and two children, removes 300 lei on the automatic fire. If you drink a beer, a wife’s coffee and two children’s juices, you bubble it! ”
“This does not mean neither molds, consumer poverty – it is a jerk on the face! ”
“Joke, good people! Prices per hundred grams … Well, a neck has over 250 grams, and those frozen fries 15 lei / 150 grams? But what about 100 lei/kg? Something like this … only in Romania! ”
“Yes. Very good! 100 lei/kg of fried potatoes !!! However, we are talking about “pushing the tray”, not a restaurant! “
“2 marinated sails for 22 lei, yes, it seems a lot. For 100 grams of product, yes, they seem a bit expensive. ”
Why are the prices so high
Economists consulted by “Adevărul” indicate several reasons why prices on the Romanian coast are higher compared to those in neighboring countries:
– The degree of occupancy is high on the coast, and the fact that there is demand causes entrepreneurs to increase prices.
– The tourist season is extremely short (May – September), and this pushes investors to recover the costs immediately.
– Due to the lack of labor, the entrepreneurs must increase the salaries and, in addition, the expenses with the utilities have increased.
– lack of professional management that determines a poor management policy management.
