In a message that went viral, the economist Andrei Caramitru addresses those he considers to be at the two extremes of society, the so-called sovereignists, personified by the “free Dacians”, respectively the virulent left, personified by the “ultra-progressive woman”.

The well-known economist humorously addressed the two categories targeted by him and began with “the uneducated man if free”. In a message on Facebook, Andrei Caramitru claims that no one is to blame for the failures of one of the two categories and comes with some advice for each.
“I have two messages. To the uneducated man if I’m free: brother, your desperation and frustration and poverty are not because of Macron, Ursula, Mucușor or Bolovan. They are not because of the “occult” and those snotty bananas and jeans stealing from you. No one wants to do you any harm. All your problems come from lack of education and totally wrong models of “trickery””writes Andrei Caramitru.
“Not Cegeu or Jorjel will save you”
The solution would be, according to the economist, for people to be serious and work, and in this case, although they will not become millionaires, they could ensure a decent living and start a family.
“Get a job at your level, be serious and specialize in it. And in 5-8 years you too can have a house, a family, a child. You will never have a Lamborghini and a yacht, but that doesn’t matter at all. Family and financial stability are much better. Leave the madness and get down to business. Not Cegeu or Jorjel will save you – they are missing you and they have nothing to do for you anyway. Help yourself alone bro” Caramitru also writes.
“Your screams save absolutely nothing”
Probably inspired by the last feminist rally, the “Together for Women’s Safety” march, from which message some of the participants deviated or tried to deviate to other causes (pro-Palestine, pro-LGBTQ and other causes usually supported by left-wing activists), Andrei Caramitru has a message for this category as well, referring to the “educated and ultra-progressive woman”.

“Darling, your despair, loneliness and frustration is not because of capitalism or patriarchy. Don’t try to save and fight for ghostly ideologies – don’t save trees, bears, marsh egrets, Gazans or the planet anyway you can’t – your screams save absolutely nothing and only make you more frustrated and alone – they’re just a scream of desperation that you don’t have children and you’re trying to protect something anything“, begins the economist.
There is no “patriarchy”
Further, Andrei Caramitru’s message continues on the same note.
“There is no “patriarchy”, no one wants you harm, no one oppresses you. You are OK. You are just not special and unique – and that’s ok. Everyone around you has your education, it doesn’t matter. You are neither a princess, nor some beauty or some unique intelligence. It’s ok – no one is. It’s normal. Loneliness is not normal, however, and that’s why you’re not ok. You can be ok if you accept the reality that you’re imperfect like us everyone – and you accept a man next to you and he is imperfect (what do you want – I tell you – in fact it does not exist) – and you help each other and grow together and make children and a family”adds Andrei Caramitru.
Even with a family and the resulting obligations towards a husband and children, this type of woman can build a career and achieve herself financially, Caramitru believes. In the end, he insists on the idea of communication and abandoning the extremes, whether right or left, and on the unity that allows overcoming any misunderstandings of an ideological nature.
“You can also have a parallel career, don’t worry. If we all calm down and think for a while and calm down and communicate with each other and help each other we can get through this really bad time. If not – the future will be terrible“, concludes Andrei Caramitru.
