Simona Halep reacted immediately after the impressive victory achieved by Sorana Cîrstea at the tournament in Rome. The Romanian managed to defeat the world leader Aryna Sabalenka, score 2-6, 6-3, 7-5, in a spectacular match that attracted the attention of the tennis world.
