Iancu Guda announced that he is ending his collaboration with Antena 1 for the production of the daily financial education column “Financial IQ”, after almost seven years of shows broadcast on television.
“We have jointly concluded the collaboration with Antena 1 for the production of the daily IQ FINANCIAL practical education column”Iancu Guda sent, in a message published on Facebook.
The economist stated that the decision marks the end of an important stage in his career, but also a change in professional direction.
“This concludes the TV production stage, an important project of my career, but demanding and involving a lot of energy and time, to be able to move the focus to a much wider area”explained Iancu Guda.
He announced that he will continue his activity in the area of financial education and economic analysis, but in a predominantly digital format.
“I will continue to contribute in the public space with economic analyses, LIVE interventions and independent educational content, in parallel with the development of entrepreneurial projects, digital platforms and financial education initiatives that I have already been developing for several years.”, said Guda.
He emphasized that the TV project represented an intense stage, carried out during almost seven years. “I am honored to have produced, for almost 7 years, the daily pill of financial education, approx. 2,000 shows with +10,000 minutes on TV (DIGI24 and Antena 1), the longest financial education marathon in the history of Romanian television”he said.
Iancu Guda added that, in parallel with television, he developed his presence in the online environment.
“In parallel, I expanded financial education online and my social media pages reached almost 10 million views per month with +300,000 followers.”he added.
In his message, the economist insisted on the idea of professional and financial independence. “I have saved and invested so that I am not dependent on anyone, as I have never been”he relayed.
“Financial independence and critical thinking, along with health, I think are the most important ‘assets’ today, in the times we are going through. And the economic truth must be said loudly, strongly, decisively! Romania and Romanians need this! Let’s turn on the light”, he said.
He specified that TV production represented only a part of his professional activity, mentioning involvement in the financial field and in entrepreneurial projects. “In the last 7 years I was the local CEO for Coface… I have been involved for over 10 years in the management of the largest investment management company in Romania (BRD AM with 10 billion RON assets under management).”he said.
Guda also spoke about his educational and entrepreneurial projects, as well as the development of digital platforms. “We have built 4 successful entrepreneurial and social projects, from Money in Motion, Business in Motion, FINLEARN, FINLIGHT, ASSET”he specified.
He also mentioned his publishing activity and the success of his books: “I wrote 3 books, 2 of which became bestsellers, together selling more than 100,000 copies.”
The economist said he will continue his public work through economic analysis and independent educational content. “I no longer have exclusivity in the TV space, and from now on I have the joy of being able to contribute with my LIVE analyzes or short analyzes for the news. (…) The manipulations must be exposed, and the objective truth of the numbers must reach as many Romanians as possible”he also said.
In the end, Guda sent a message of thanks and a call for financial education. “Thank you for following me and trusting me. Financial education makes a difference! Come on Romania!”, he concluded.
