About the new second coach it was stated that “he comes with important experience accumulated in Iberian football. He holds the UEFA A License, which was obtained in Spain, and was part of projects to develop young players at Villarreal CF, CD Roda and CD Castellón”.
Alexandru Ungurianu also has a family connection with FC Argeș, his father, Florin Ungurianu, being a former goalkeeper who also played for the Pitesti club in his career.
As a player, Ungurianu Jr. played as a striker, being called up to actions of the U15 and U16 national teams. In parallel, he started his coaching career early, working with children and junior groups at several clubs in Spain.

At Villarreal, Alexandru worked in the International Department, being involved in individual player development, scouting, video analysis, preparation of technical reports and implementation of work methodology in the club’s international academies.
