The oldest student in Romania graduated at the age of 90: “I was a bit tired in the last semester”

Amalia-Susana Tușa, considered the oldest student in Romania, graduated at the age of 90 from the Didactic Theology specialization at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.

The graduate participated in the festivity of the 2026 promotion, organized on Tuesday in the Auditorium Maximum hall of the university.

I am very happy, first of all, today, that I managed to get my degree and make my family wonderful“, she declared for Trinitas TV.

When asked how her three years of college were, she said the experience was enjoyable, even if the last semester was more demanding.

The three years were… I can’t say tiring. In the last semester I was a bit tired, but it was a joy. A young collective, there are also a few less young, but I the dean of age, an amazing achievement“, she said with a laugh.

The graduate confessed that the results obtained at the college give her an additional reason for satisfaction.

I am ambitious. I managed to learn. I have only one eight and otherwise nine and ten, I deserve praise“, she stated.

Asked what message she sends to young people, the woman answered simply: “Everyone should strive for better“.
