According to the official scale that was published by the Ministry of Education for the Logic exam of the national Baccalaureate exam 2026, it seems that there is a content error in Subject I, more precisely in item number 4, where the answer considered correct in the official document is indicated as option d), but, as pointed out by Professor Radu Morariu, for “The Truth”, the correct answer should, in fact, be option b).
The exercise would have been one of the many pitfalls that the students had to avoid in this year’s written exam of the Baccalaureate in Logic. In an analysis for Adevărul, published on Thursday, professor Radu Morariu pointed out that the basic principle that students should have applied is that, in the case of a logical conversion, the subject and the predicate are reversed, which means that the predicate of the conversion is, in fact, the subject of the original sentence.
“Unfortunately, including the person who provided the internet statements, in the pictures I saw, they solved that grid incorrectly, wrongly underlining the correct option, which was actually B, ‘famous paintings’, not ‘black tulips’, and anyway, the ‘black tulips’ option made no sense, so the students could have figured it out from that clue, but probably didn’t because they didn’t pay enough attention to the essential details.” he added.
In addition to the error displayed in the scale, teacher Radu Morariu also drew attention to another problem related to the correction process, which could affect students’ grades. He pointed out that, in the case of the Euler representation in point 1B, there are two possible solutions that should be considered, but this possibility is not clearly specified in the scale.
“Unfortunately, reviewers are not always the brightest or most experienced, and many of them come from other specialties. I know a few reviewers who usually call me to solve their issues”said the teacher.
He explained that some evaluators might ignore the other, less obvious solution, which could result in losing important points for.
“There is a risk that some may mis-score, which would be unfair to students”the teacher added.
Baccalaureate 2026: What’s next, after Thursday’s test
In the case of students belonging to national minorities, they will have another written test on Friday, in their mother tongue.
The next crucial stage is the display of the initial results, scheduled for Tuesday 7 July by 12:00.
On the same day, between 14:00 and 18:00, the window opens for viewing the works and submitting appeals, a process that continues on July 8 and 9.
The Ministry of Education has established that viewing the works is strictly informative and does not involve their correction.
Minor candidates must be accompanied by a parent or legal representative at the time of viewing.
Appeals process
Submission of appeals is not conditional on viewing the papers, and viewing does not oblige the candidate to submit the appeal.
The appeals submitted by the candidates will be resolved between July 9-10, and the final results of the 2026 Baccalaureate exam will be published on July 13. The communication of the results, regardless of the stage, is done anonymously, using the individual codes that replace the names and surnames of the candidates, according to the legal provisions on the protection of personal data.
To be declared “successful”, a high school graduate must cumulatively meet three essential conditions. First, they must pass all language and digital skills assessment tests, which took place between June 8 and 17. Second, they must pass all written tests and obtain at least a 5 in each of them. Finally, they must obtain at least an average of 6 in the written tests, the average being calculated as the arithmetic mean of the grades obtained in the four written tests – for students who also take the test in their mother tongue – or in the three tests, for the other candidates. Candidates who do not meet these requirements are declared “rejected” and can participate in the second Baccalaureate session, scheduled between July and August 2026.
In order to support the smooth conduct of the exam, the Ministry of Education and Research makes available to candidates and parents the TELVERDE line 0800801100, intended for reporting any malfunctions regarding the organization and conduct of the exam. On the days of the written tests, the line is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with the exception of Friday 3 July, when the operating hours were from 8:00am to 2:00pm. This measure provides an official channel of communication for any logistics or compliance issues, thus ensuring a transparent and fair process for all applicants.
