The 33rd edition of the Central European Informatics Olympiad (CEOI) took place from 5–10 July 2026 in Ljubljana and brought together talented young people from Central Europe and invited countries.
Romania won three gold and one silver medals at the Central European Informatics Olympiad-CEOI 2026.
The performances were obtained by Victor Ioan Dobra, 11th grade, “Lucian Blaga” National College Sebeș, gold medal; Rareș-Andrei Neculau, 12th grade, “Vasile Alecsandri” National College Galați, gold medal; Mihai-Valeriu Voicu, 12th grade, Bucharest International Theoretical High School of Informatics, gold medal; Andrei-Paul Iorgulescu, 11th grade, “Tudor Vianu” National College of Informatics Bucharest, silver medal.
The coordination of the team was ensured by the representatives of the Society for Excellence and Performance in Informatics: ș.l. Dr. Eng. Mihai Nan, from the Faculty of Automation and Computers, National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, and Alexandru Lorintz, SEPI Representative.

At the level of the Ministry of Education and Research, the coordination of the Olympics was ensured by the Directorate of Olympics, Competitions, Partnerships and Extracurricular Education, through Georgeta Antonia Rodica Crăciunescu, MEC advisor.
