The biggest festival dedicated to families in Romania is preparing a surprise for the first time. Wonder Family Fest brings back the ASTRALIS International Magic Festival to Cluj-Napoca, after almost a ten-year hiatus, and the competition enters, for the first time, the FISM world circuit. Illusionists from six countries will transform the alleys of Wonderland into a giant stage, and access to all shows is included in the festival ticket.
This year Wonder Family Fest brings one of the most spectacular novelties in the program: the ASTRALIS International Magic Festival returns after an absence of almost a decade and marks a historic moment for Romanian illusionism. For the first time, the competition is included in the world circuit of competitions organized under the aegis of FISM, the most prestigious international organization dedicated to the art of magic.
Between July 31 and August 2, Wonderland Resort in Cluj-Napoca will become the place where the impossible seems possible. The audience will be able to watch impressive magic shows, interactive demonstrations and spectacular moments supported by some of the most acclaimed illusionists of the moment. All International Magic Festival performances are included in your Wonder Family Fest ticket or pass.
The competition will bring together magicians from Italy, Germany, Spain, Poland, Bulgaria and Romania, who will fight for the ASTRALIS Trophy. Among the confirmed competitors are Dario Adiletta, Leonardo Fanelli, Matteo Cucchi, Nicola Lazzarini and Davide Spada from Italy, Christian Bizau from Germany, Luis Enrique Macias Hermida from Spain, Radek Hoffman from Poland, Bojidar Kolev from Bulgaria, but also the representatives of Romania Rareș Baba and Mario Popescu.
One of the most anticipated moments of the festival will be Street Magic. On August 1 and 2, magicians will come down from the stage and perform performances right in the middle of the spectators, on the walkways of Wonderland Resort. The public will have the opportunity to see spectacular tricks up close, participate in interactive moments and discover the secrets of an art that has fascinated generations.
The culmination of the competition will take place on Sunday, August 2, with the ASTRALIS International Magic Gala, held on the Main Stage. The finalists will perform in front of an international jury and the thousands of spectators present at the festival, and at the end the winner of the ASTRALIS Trophy will be chosen.
The prestige of the competition is also given by the composition of the jury. It includes two of the most important personalities of world illusionism: Andrea Baioni, International President of FISM, and Prof. Dr. Domenico Dante, Honorary President of FISM.
In addition to magic shows, Wonder Family Fest also offers an impressive artistic program. Fantomel & Kate Linn, OMERIT (Baha Man), Boney M. Xperience, Kaoma, Rareș, Iuliana Beregoi, Gașca Zurli, Horia Brenciu, Familia Melimi, Alina Sorescu, Geo Da Silva & DJ Emil Lassaria, Theo Zeciu, Daniel Cafeluță, Dorian Popa and Mircea Bravo will take to the stage of the festival.
The 2026 edition also brings new thematic areas dedicated to the whole family, including RemediumLand, where specialist doctors will offer consultations and recommendations, the Vel Pitar – Bakery & Fun space, as well as the Romfulda universe, designed around authentic taste and activities for all ages.
Wonder Family Fest is the first festival in Romania built entirely around the family concept, bringing together parents, children, teenagers and grandparents in an experience that combines music, entertainment and recreational activities. Last year’s edition attracted nearly 60,000 participants, and organizers expect the new edition to set a new attendance record.
