A Romanian tourist had a disappointing experience in Turkey after paying 1,599 euros for a Last Minute offer at a 4-star hotel. He complained about several problems, from rooms with mold and the smell of damp to the lack of cleanliness and too little variety of food.
The tourist stayed at Side Su Hotel, in the resort of Side, and reported the experience on Forum Turkey. The first problems appeared right from the accommodation. According to him, some rooms, especially those near the pool, showed traces of mold and a strong smell of dampness.
“Mold everywhere, leaking washer, AC condensate barrel in the room next to the bed and a very strong musty smell. We had to sleep in one of these rooms because we arrived late and they wouldn’t change our room. They showed us another room, same story. We ended up changing the building and it was better”said the tourist.
The Romanian also complained about the way the rooms were cleaned.
“Rooms are cleaned and towels are changed only if you ask the women and put the sign on the door. It’s been three days and they haven’t entered the room“, said the Romanian.
“The same food from the first day to the last”
“You can’t say it’s a correct All Inclusive. In Tunisia, for example, you had a variety of food, also at 4 stars. Here it’s the same food from the first day to the last. After the first two days you’ll know what you’re eating for the rest of your stay.” he wrote.
Despite the criticism, the Romanian also had words of praise for the hotel’s employees.
“The waiters and bar guys are very helpful if you talk to them. Bonus point here! Well done to them!”said the tourist.
At the end of the review, he said that he does not recommend the hotel.
“If you still want to choose it, good luck and have a lot of nerves!”concluded the tourist.
His story has sparked numerous reactions online.

Another netizen told the tourist that he should have done more research before purchasing the tour package, considering the many sources available online.
