Vladimir Kliciko sent the first message after the death of Hayden Panettiere, the actress with whom he had a relationship for almost a decade and with whom he has a daughter. The former world boxing champion says the family is going through a period of “deep shock and grief” and admits the actress’ death has affected him.
Hayden Panettiere has died at the age of 36. The actress was found unconscious in a home in Greenville, South Carolina, and authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of her death. The official cause of death has not been announced, notes US Today.
Kliciko chose to get the message across in an Instagram post where he shared an older photo of himself, Hayden and their daughter Kaya while at the beach.
“Our family is going through a time of shock and deep grief,” wrote the former boxer.
About the death of Hayden, Vladimir Klitschko said that he was saddened and that the actress “he left this world far too soon.”

Although the two were no longer a couple, the former Ukrainian world champion spoke about the place Hayden Panettiere occupied in his life and in their family.

Hayden Panettiere and Vladimir Klicikos met in 2009 and had a relationship with several breakups and reconciliations. The two got engaged in 2013, and a year later they became the parents of a little girl, Kaya.
Their relationship later ended, and Klitschko was awarded custody of their daughter. Kaya, who is now 11 years old, lives in Europe with his father.
In recent years, Panettiere has been open about her struggles with addiction and postpartum depression. In her memoirs, the actress also talked about how difficult it was for her to decide that her daughter should remain in the care of Vladimir Kliciko.

The former athlete promised to make sure that the girl remembers her mother with respect and to keep her memory alive.
Hayden Panettiere’s death was confirmed on Sunday, August 16. The actress was only 36 years old.
