MFA: Romania condemns the terrorist attack in Moscow and sends condolences to the families of the victims

On Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent condolences to the families of the victims of the terrorist attack in Moscow, resulting in the death of over 115 people, condemning “firmly any form of terrorism and all attacks against civilians”.

''Romania firmly condemns any form of terrorism and all attacks against civilians. Condolences to the families of the victims of the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack in Moscow'', the Ministry of Foreign Affairs transmitted, in a post on X, the former Twitter.

An armed attack, followed by a fire, took place on Friday evening in a concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow. People dressed in camouflage opened fire with automatic weapons on the participants in the Crocus City Hall.

The Islamic State terrorist group later claimed responsibility for the deadly attack, which left at least 115 dead and many injured.

FSB director Alekander Bortnikov reported the detention of 11 people, including all four people suspected of carrying out this terrorist attack.

Russian President Vladimir Putin decreed a day of national mourning for Sunday and promised that the culprits would all be “punished”, in his first televised address after the tragic event.

The European Union expressed its dismay at the armed attack on the outskirts of Moscow, and condemned any attack against civilians. Similarly, Germany, Great Britain or the Republic of Moldova reacted by condemning the attack and sending condolences to the families of the victims.
