Baccalaureate 2026: special measures due to the heat wave. How schools prepare for exams

In the context of weather warnings, the Ministry of Education and Research has taken the decision to proactively intervene to protect all the people involved in the 2026 national Baccalaureate exam. Ministry officials sent, during Friday, an official address to all school inspectorates in the country, requesting measures aimed at ensuring both the smooth conduct of the written tests and the subsequent evaluation process of the papers, emphasizing the safety of the candidates, of teaching staff and members of examination committees.

In order to cope with these difficult weather conditions, the central authorities have established a list of priorities covering both infrastructure and assistance to participants. Thus, it is required that in each exam center, drinking water is permanently provided for all those present. At the same time, where possible, the rooms intended both for the tests and for the correction of the papers and their visualization by the candidates, should be chosen from the rooms that benefit from a reduced exposure to the sun, being oriented towards the shaded area of the building, in order to considerably reduce the feeling of discomfort.

In addition, it is recommended that the use of spaces equipped with functional air conditioning systems be a priority, and in order to avoid any technical problem, inspectorates are urged to check the functionality of these installations. In situations where there are no fixed air conditioning systems, local authorities are advised to look for alternative solutions, such as mobile air conditioners or fans, provided they do not interfere with the strict rules of conducting the examination. Periodic airing of the rooms is also recommended, as long as this operation does not disturb the candidates’ concentration or the evaluation process.

The complete list of measures recommended to the inspectorates
