The National Road Infrastructure Administration Company warns drivers that there is an online portal that sells tolls without authorization and charges an additional 12% to the legal rate.
The National Road Infrastructure Administration Company announced on Wednesday, April 29, that it had identified in the online environment a portal that sells scraps without having the authorization of the institution for collecting the tariff for the use of the national road network.
It is about the website erovinieta.net, managed by SC Nethut Digital SRL, which CNAIR says is not among the approved platforms for issuing rovinettes.
According to the institution, users who choose to buy rovinieta through this portal end up paying more than the law provides, because an additional commission of 12% is added on top of the legal rate.
“CNAIR informs the users of the network of national roads, express roads and highways in Romania that it has identified in the online environment the portal https://erovinieta.net/, owned by SC NETHUT DIGITAL SRL, a portal that is not authorized by CNAIR for collecting the user fee (rovinieta).
We emphasize that, when buying a rovinieta on the website https://erovinieta.net/, users pay, in addition to the tariff regulated by the legislation in force (OG no. 15/2002), an additional cost of 12% for “manual rovinieta processing and issuing services””. CNAIR transmitted.
Difference of over 30 lei for a single scratch
The company also provided a concrete example to illustrate the cost difference.
For a ticket valid for 12 months, intended for a car, bought through portals authorized by CNAIR, a driver pays in April 2026 the amount of 254.95 lei, VAT included, strictly representing the rate established by law.
Instead, the same slip purchased on the unauthorized portal costs 285.54 lei, including VAT, which means an additional cost of 30.59 lei, an amount passed as a fee for “manual slip processing and issuing services”.
CNAIR does not assume responsibility
The company’s representatives emphasize that the institution cannot be held responsible for any problems arising from the purchase of the scrap through unauthorized platforms.
“In relation to the situation presented, we inform users that CNAIR does not assume any responsibility regarding the access and purchase by users of scraps from portals not authorized by CNAIR”, the institution stated.
In this context, drivers are advised to carefully check the source before making payment and to use only officially recognized channels. The warning comes in the context where more and more drivers are choosing to pay their tolls online, and the differences between official and unauthorized sites can easily go unnoticed.
“We ask users to pay the bill only on the official portal of CNAIR, available at www.erovinieta.ro or to authorized distributors, whose authorized distribution points/web portals can be found on the official CNAIR website at http://www.cnadnr.ro/ro/puncte-de-distributie”,
transmitted, on Wednesday, the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company.
We remind you that, three years ago, CNAIR faced a similar situation, when it was about the Aircrash application.
