Eugen Tomac begins, on Monday, the series of political consultations with the parliamentary parties. The Prime Minister-designate hopes to obtain support for the Parliament’s validation of the government he is going to propose.
According to the program sent by his communication team, Prime Minister-designate Eugen Tomac will meet on Monday with PNL at 11:00, with USR at 14:00 and PSD at 17:00. The discussions will take place at the headquarters of the political formations.
At the same time, the designated prime minister will make press statements after each round of consultations, the communication team stated.
These do not end on Monday, but will continue on Tuesday according to a schedule to be announced, the quoted source said.
On Thursday, June 4, President Nicușor Dan appointed Eugen Tomac for the position of Prime Minister, who has ten days to obtain the necessary parliamentary support to form a majority and invest the new Government. The head of state emphasized that his decision is one of responsibility and expects, in turn, the same level of seriousness from the political class to ensure the stability of the government.

What the future Government could look like
According to the sources, a possible structure of the future Government has already been outlined, including the distribution of the main ministries and key functions in the Cabinet.
The configuration currently on the table looks like this:

In order to be sworn in, the prime minister-designate must present the government program and the list of ministers to Parliament, obtaining at least 233 favorable votes. In case of validation, he will have to give up his MEP mandate.
